THESE ARE MY CURRENT LENSES IN MY COLLECTION FOR MY SONY ALPHA 6700 ASP-C CAMERA
The Sigma 17-40mm f1.8 DC (Art)
This is my all around zoom lens. With an f-stop down to f1.8 and a top range of f16, there is nothing you cannot do with this lens. So versatile that you can use it for street portraits, street photography, landscapes, some action sport shots and close up shots. It's an amazing lens. The only down side is it does not have active stabilization (OCC) within the lens which is the case for most 3rd party zoom lenses out there. Even though it doesn't come with it, it's still one of my favorite lenses in my collection. Released on August 10th, 2025, this lens will be a good viable lens for years to come.
The Viltrox 85mm f1.4 FE
This is my main prime portrait lens. It's one of two that I currently use. With the f-stop at 1.4 you can get that separation from your subject allowing you capture that moment. It's a very large lens that needs to have you stand back and take your time while shooting. It's the newest lens from Viltrox that came out on June 18th, 2025. So far reviews from the YouTube community and Reddit shows it's a strong contender to the Sony 85mm.
The Viltrox 56mm f1.7 E
This is my other prime portrait lens I mentioned above. With the f-stop at 1.7 it still rocks that separation from your subject allowing you capture that subject in low light conditions. Not a large large lens per say, but you still need to stand a little ways away from your subject to get that full body shot. This lens was released last year on April 1, 2024. With lots of bokeh this lens delivers with sharp crisp images.
The Viltrox 25mm f1.7 AE
The Air Series lens is the latest of the Viltrox budget lenses that came out in February 28, 2025. The Air Series is available on both ASP-C and full frame. At a price range under $200 US dollars, don't let that fool you. This lens does not have the extras on the exterior like an aperture ring or a focus hold button, it still has 12 elements in 10 groups, newest generation of auto focus and supporting camera anti shake technology which is still great for video and photography.
The Viltrox 15mm f1.7 E Air
This is my wide lens I like to use for everyday street photography, landscape and VLOG shots. This prime lens has so much versatility and small form factor, it's one of those lenses you just grab and go. Great for indoor use, outdoor use and low light conditions with the f-stop f1.4. Released on June 26, 2025 just after the Viltrox 85mm, it's a great lens at a great price.
The Sony 28-70mm f3.5-5.6 FE OSS
Now this zoom lens is one of my older lenses that released on October 26, 2013. But that does not mean it's not relevant in my lens collection. It comes with Optical Steady Shot which provides optical image stabilization within the lens. Great for videography, landscape photography and street photography. It's one of my lenses for YouTube video content as well as out on a day of exploration. Still nice and light this lens still has great use in many situations.
The Sony E 11mm f1.8 APS-C
Ultra Wide Angle Prime with OSS
This lens is an absolute beast while out video vlogging or casual image photography. With the f1.8 aperture you can still take beautiful images of your subject with the bokeh in the background. Very light, very versatile with crisp in focus images that stand out with color. Great for those cityscapes, desert scenes and all around wide shots. Both night and day, this lens is my go to when I am in small spaces. Released in the beginning of July 2022.
The KMZ Helios 44-2 2/58mm f2.0 SLR
Made in Russia in the late 50's during the Soviet era and as new as 1990's, these lenses are manual focus, manual aperture bokeh beasts. These lenses were based on the German Zeiss Biotar 58mm f2lens. On a side note, this lens It takes time to learn these lenses and use them to their full potential. This one is the 8 blade version.
Helios 44-2 2/58mm f2.0 (13 Blade)
This 13 blade version is close to the same as the one shown above other than it has more blades to make a more rounded bokeh balls in frame. Also this one is an earlier made edition to the one above. Both are manual prime lenses that require a conversion ring in order to attach them to a Sony e-mount camera.
